Jieun Lee’s Bloom in the Night_32 is a representative work from the Bloom in the Night series, corresponding to the axis of “time” within the three thematic pillars human, space, and time of the exhibition When Silence Builds: 고요의 층위.
이지은 작가의 Bloom in the night_32는 When Silence Builds: 고요의 층위전시의 인간, 공간, 시간이라는 세 가지 축 중 시간에 해당하는 Bloom in the night 시리즈의 대표작이다.




The work visualizes the structure of dreams where sensation and memory overlap, the softly diffused hues of pink and violet, along with its gentle curves, do not seek to depict a clear form but instead evoke the lingering resonance of emotion and the density of time. Here, the “flower” does not function as a concrete object, but rather as a condensed motif of sensations and emotions retained within the dream. The flow of light and color across the surface leads the viewer into a dreamlike atmosphere, subtly awakening an inner sensory experience.


감각과 기억이 겹쳐지는 꿈의 구조를 시각화한 작품으로 흐릿하게 번지는 분홍과 보랏빛의 색채와 부드러운 곡선은 명확한 형상을 재현하기보다 감정의 여운과 시간의 밀도를 드러낸다. 여기서 ‘꽃’은 구체적인 사물이 아니라 꿈속에 남은 감정과 감각을 응축한 모티프로 작동한다. 화면 속 빛과 색의 흐름은 몽환적인 분위기와 내면의 감각을 환기하도록 이끈다.
