Matthias Gubler’s <<FFFOUND>> reconsiders discarded everyday objects not as obsolete remnants but as entities entering a new temporal trajectory, revealing the ongoing process of discovery through endlessly repeating video loops. 

마티아스 구블러의 <<FFFOUND>>는 쓸모를 다해 버려진 사물을 소모된 잔여물이 아닌 새로운 시간의 궤적으로 진입하는 주체로 바라보며, 끝없이 반복되는 영상 루프를 통해 지속적인 발견의 과정을 드러내는 전시이다. 









<<FFFOUND>> begins from the attempt to reorganize familiar images and objects into new relationships. Turning away from the rapid consumption of the digital age, the exhibition attends to the analog materiality of custom cardboard frames and the poetic rhythm of looping time. The fragments of everyday life, repeating within these physical structures show the complex mechanics of how memory operates. Ultimately, the exhibition functions not as a spectacle of media but as a deliberate space for delay, encouraging us to step back, look slowly, and discover latent connections within what we thought we already knew.


<<FFOUND>>는 익숙한 이미지와 사물을 새로운 관계 속에 재구성하려는 시도에서 출발한다. 이번 전시는 디지털 시대의 빠른 소비에서 벗어나, 판지 프레임의 아날로그적 물성과 반복되는 시간의 시적인 리듬에 주목한다. 물리적 구조물 안에서 반복되는 일상의 파편들은 기억이 작동하는 복합적인 방식을 보여준다. 결국 이 전시는 미디어의 스펙터클이 아니라 관객이 천천히 머물며 바라보게 만드는 공간으로서, 우리가 이미 안다고 여겼던 것들 속에서 숨겨진 연결성을 새롭게 발견하도록 이끈다.








‘The focus of my practice is the collage technique of the endless video loop. Through the apparent recurrence of the ever-same, we can recognize the beauty of a moment again and again. These works function as digital frescoes, constantly demanding time, patience, and attention from the viewer.’ _Artist Statement


‘내 작업의 중심에는 끝없이 반복되는 비디오 루프라는 콜라주 기법이 자리한다. 늘 똑같은 것이 반복된다고 믿어지는 그 궤적 속에서, 우리는 매 순간의 아름다움을 거듭 발견할 수 있다. 이 작품들은 일종의 디지털 프레스코화로 기능하며, 관객에게 기꺼이 머무르는 시간과 인내, 그리고 주의 깊은 시선을 요구한다.’ _작가노트
