Nameless Points begins from the perspective that the nameless is not a lack but a field of possibility. Sensations and questions that have yet to be articulated through a fixed language or institutional framework are understood here as active coordinates where meaning is continuously generated and transformed.

Through the 1st Title Unknown, UNAW Gallery’s open call for 2025-2026, the gallery seeks to bring together emerging artists from Korea and abroad whose practices engage with experimental approaches and contemporary concerns. Rather than presenting completed conclusions, the exhibition focuses on 'the moment' in which works and narratives begin to take shape, foregrounding processes of exploration, perception, and becoming.

The six artists, Nayeon Kim, Hyoshin Park, Alie Song, Joohee Jin, Emma Scarafiotti, Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon work across diverse media and starting points yet share a common interest in liminal conditions between sensation and perception, body and image, human and non human, recording and erasure, center and periphery. Their works reveal spaces where dreams intersect with reality, where vision and corporeality fall out of alignment, and where unspoken narratives and silences surface as structural elements. By remaining nameless, these images and questions resist fixation and closure.

Nameless Points does not propose a single conclusion or definitive answer. Instead, it invites viewers to follow the traces of sensations and structures shaped by the artists and to generate their own meanings through personal memory and experience. In this exhibition, coordinates are not predetermined. They momentarily emerge from each position before dispersing once again.

Nayeon Kim (b. 1994, Republic of Korea)

Through personal observations that resemble the gaze of a camera, Kim records objects and spaces, inviting viewers to actively reconstruct images through their own perception.

Hyoshin Park (b. 1992, Republic of Korea)

Reconstructing fragments of dreams captured between sleep and wakefulness through painting, Park unfolds dense moments in which consciousness and the unconscious intermingle, transforming them into immersive sensory spaces.

Alie Song (b. 1981, New Zealand)

Through sculptural food forms and the structure of shared meals, Song transforms suppressed grief and loss into sites of hospitality, proposing a healing potential that connects personal pain to collective experience.

Joohee Jin (b. 1986, Republic of Korea)

By repeatedly observing figures and fragments of the body, Jin captures the tension between gaze and intimacy, constructing painterly dispositifs that expose the act of looking itself.

Emma Scarafiotti (b. 1996, Italy)

Working across video, installation, and performance, Scarafiotti explores points of intersection between human and non-human, femininity and otherness, nature and technology, sensorially revealing possibilities for new forms of relationality and solidarity that resist fixed identities.

Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon (b. 1985, Thailand)

Reframing repeated rejection and silence not as personal failure but as structural conditions, Rungteerawattananon offers a critical perspective that questions who is allowed to speak and which narratives are permitted to circulate.

아직 이름 없는 좌표들은 이름이 정해지지 않은 상태를 결핍이 아닌 가능성으로 바라보는 지점에서 출발한다. 아직 하나의 언어나 제도적 정의로 포착되지 않은 감각과 질문들은, 오히려 지금 이 순간 가장 활발하게 생성되고 변화하는 좌표이기 때문이다.

유나갤러리는 2025-2026년 첫 개최하는 타이틀 언노운 Title Unknown 공모전을 통해 국내외 신진 작가들의 실험적 실천과 동시대적 문제의식을 조명하며, 작품과 서사가 형성되는 ‘순간’ 그 자체를 함께 탐색하고자 한다. 여기서 작가들은 이미 완성된 결과를 제시하기보다, 자신만의 좌표를 더듬고 설정해 나가는 과정에 놓여 있다.

공모전에 선정된 여섯 명의 작가, 김나연, 박효신, 송엘리, 진주희, Emma Scarafiotti, Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon는 매체와 출발점은 서로 다르지만, 감각과 인식, 신체와 이미지, 인간과 비인간, 기록과 삭제, 중심과 주변 사이에 놓인 경계의 상태를 공통적으로 탐구한다. 이들의 작업은 꿈과 현실이 겹치고, 시선과 몸이 어긋나며, 말해지지 않은 서사와 침묵이 구조로 드러나는 지점들을 가리킨다. 그것은 아직 명명되지 않았기에 더 이상 고정될 수 없는 이미지이자 질문이다.

아직 이름 없는 좌표들 Nameless Points는 하나의 해석이나 결론을 제시하지 않는다. 대신 이 전시는 여섯 명의 작가가 통과한 감각과 구조의 흔적을 따라가며, 관람자가 자신의 기억과 경험을 통해 또 다른 이름과 서사를 발견해 나가기를 제안한다. 이 공간에서 좌표는 주어지는 것이 아니라, 각자의 위치에서 잠시 생성되었다가 다시 흩어진다.

김나연 (b.1994, 대한민국)

카메라의 시선과 닮은 개인적 관찰을 통해 사물과 공간을 기록하며, 관람자가 스스로 이미지를 재구성하도록 유도한다.

박효신 (b.1992, 대한민국)

잠과 깨어남 사이에서 포착한 꿈의 파편을 회화로 재구성하며, 의식과 무의식이 뒤섞이는 밀도 높은 순간을 감각적 공간으로 펼친다.

송엘리 (b.1981, 뉴질랜드)

음식 조각과 만찬 형식을 통해 억압된 애도와 상실을 ‘환대의 자리’로 전환하며, 개인적 고통을 공동체적 감각으로 연결하는 치유적 가능성을 제안한다.

진주희 (b.1986, 대한민국)

인물과 신체 일부를 반복적으로 응시하며 시선과 친밀함 사이의 긴장을 포착하고, 관람자의 시선 자체를 드러내는 회화적 장치를 구현한다.

엠마 스카라피오티 (b.1996, 이탈리아)

영상, 설치, 퍼포먼스를 통해 인간과 비인간, 여성성과 타자성, 자연과 기술의 교차 지점을 탐구하며, 고정된 정체성을 거부하는 새로운 관계성과 연대의 가능성을 감각적으로 보여준다.

티티보디 룽티라왓타나논 (b.1985, 태국)

반복되는 거절과 침묵을 개인적 실패가 아닌 구조적 조건으로 드러내며, 누가 말할 수 있고 어떤 서사가 유통되는지를 묻는 비판적 시선을 제시한다.
