Haechan Kang paints the sensory threshold between day and night—the humid air of summer and the cool stillness of winter evenings—where reality and fantasy quietly blur. Layering memory-worn imagery in paint, he evokes the moisture, light, and imperceptible movement of that fleeting dusk. Using interference paint that shifts in color and sheen with the viewer's angle, his landscapes—apartment blocks, windows, branches, silhouettes—become fluid traces of perception rather than fixed symbols of place.
강해찬은 여름밤의 눅진한 대기와 겨울 저녁의 서늘함이 교차하는, 현실과 환상이 흐려지는 황혼의 순간을 그린다. 기억 속 희미한 이미지를 물감으로 덧입혀 대기의 습기와 빛, 미세한 움직임을 환기하며, 보는 각도에 따라 색과 광택이 변화하는 인터피어런스 물감을 통해 아파트 단지, 창문, 나뭇가지, 실루엣 같은 풍경을 고정된 상징이 아닌 유동하는 지각의 흔적으로 담아낸다.
